Q: What is the New England Artist Trading Cards Plus (ATC+) Meetup Group?
A: You'll find the best description on our "About Us" page:About this Meetup Group
Q: How do I join the NE ATC+ Meetup Group?
A: Create a free Meetup.com account. Then visit our home page and follow the point-and-click instructions to become a member.
Q: Does it cost anything to join?
A: Currently, there's no membership fee. The organizer charges a small per-meeting fee to cover the organizer's out-of-pocket payment for our Meetup.com Web site, room-rental charges, the cost of a few shared supplies, occasional postage, The per-meeting fee varies, but, to date, hasn't exceeded $5 per person.
Q: How much experience do I need to join?
A: : Anywhere from none to a great deal. A few members have professional art backgrounds, some aren't pros but have been dabbling in ATCs and related genres for awhile and some have tackled their first-ever projects at one of our Meetups. All are welcome.
Q: I don't know much about ATCs. How can I learn more?
A: Start with our short introduction: All About ATCs
That document is available to anyone; group members will find much more free information--including what supplies you'll find useful and where to find them--in the "Files" section of the Web site.
Q: Can I attend a Meetup without joining the group?
A: No. Our events typically fill, so in fairness to our members and our host venues, you may attend a Meetup only if you join the group or attend as the personal guest of a registered member. Even if you'd like to just drop by and check us out, you must join the group and officially"RSVP" for the event. (Again, membership is free and you can always cancel later.)
Q: What typically happens at an ATC+ Meetup?
A: Here's a good summary, which links to more detailed descriptions for two of our most popular activities:
ATC-plus Meetups: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What do I need to bring to an ATC+ Meetup?
A: It's fine to come empty-handed; the organizer can provide you with blank cards and loaner tools. But if you'd like to bring your own supplies, here's a checklist: ATC Meetups--What to Bring
