ATCs & Altered Art: Walnut Creek-Concord-East Bay Area

Welcome to the East Bay Area artist trading cards and altered arts Meetup Group! Our first focus is ATCs, but we enjoy other mixed media projects too. Join us if you are intrigued by ATCs, or if you just want to meet others who love arts and crafts. Altered book artists, collagers, scrapbookers -- you're all welcome and will have fun. The group is convenient if you live east of the Caldecott Tunnel. Members make and trade ATCs, try new techniques, and swap supplies. We also have optional projects like round robin altered books, technique workshops, and shopping trips. We are even planning an art retreat in the Gold Country next summer! Our 2nd Meetup was October 21, and it was AWESOME. We traded ATCs, did show and tell, and then finished ATC backgrounds using random techniques, picked like fortunes from a bowl ("Draw", "Write", "Image", "Stamp", etc.). Everyone is friendly and helpful, so collaboration is a feature of this group. It's ideal whether you are an experienced mixed media artist, or new and exploring.
