 \, please bring carving materials (smooth fine-textured erasers work well)\
 , linoleum cutters or sharp X-acto knives\, images that you want to carve\,
  paper\, ink pads\, and magnifying glasses. \n\nLinks for more information

 oadway in Oakland and on University in Berkeley and  Artist and Craftsman o
 n Shattuck have supplies also.  Caution\, do not purchase the Speedball whi
 te carving material. It crumbles. Speedball pink is nice to carve. When pur
 chasing carving materials in-store\, check the surface to make sure there a
 re no gouges or cuts as these can ruin your stamp. The stores just stack th
 e carving material bare on the shelves so blemishes can happen easily. Stae
 dler Mars puts out a three tool carving set that is very nice and can be fo
 und in the Blick Stores. Staedler Mars has a white vinyl eraser that is exc
 ellent carving material (though a bit expensive).  They also have larger bl
 ocks of the same material that you can buy at www.dickblick.com. The most e
 conomical way to purchase carving material is in sheets and then you can cu
